PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday requirements as scheduled
• Acute care setting with 34-bed unit combining Stepdown and MedSurg Floor
• Stepdown nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3; Floor nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Nurse aide support available with typically 2-5 Clinical Assistants on the unit
• Charge Nurse and Transport RN available at optimal staffing from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM only
• Required to titrate drips
• Must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips; Tele techs post strips each shift
• Respiratory therapy available in-house 24/7; ventilators present on the unit
• Charting system: EPIC
• May be required to float to other units
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS
