PCU RN Job in Morgantown, WV

Join WVU JW Ruby Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026, offering competitive compensation of $2,488.32 weekly.

Role Details

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Provide acute care nursing in a 34-bed combined stepdown and floor unit
• Manage stepdown patients at a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio; floor patients at 1:5–6 ratio
• Titrate drips and medications as clinically required
• Interpret telemetry strips with confidence; telemetry technicians post strips each shift
• Float to other units as staffing needs require
• Weekend and holiday shifts scheduled as part of the rotation

Unit Resources

• In-house respiratory therapy available 24/7 with ventilator support on unit
• Charge nurse and transport RN present during day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) at optimal staffing levels
• Certified nursing assistants typically available, 2–5 per shift

Requirements and Expectations

• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• BSN not required; RN licensure and credentials sufficient
• Maximum of 2 cancellations permitted over the 13-week contract period
