Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Medical-Surgical nursing on the night shift. You will work 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. Weekly pay is $1,930 for guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours, which you will indicate at submission.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for post-trauma, surgical, and medically complex patients across all age groups
• Perform comprehensive assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation using the nursing process
• Manage patient ratios of 1:6-7 on nights; monitor and coordinate care with ancillary departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality while documenting in the EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license valid in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year inpatient Med Surg experience
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• ACLS certification from AHA (preferred)

Assignment Details:

• Night shift orientation occurs during day shift hours; you must be available the entire orientation week
• You may float to other units based on staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Black scrubs required; no open-toed shoes
• Equipment used includes Nova Meters, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and sequential compression devices
• Requested time off of 5 days or less must be made up at the end of the assignment
• Only one holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
