ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Night shift schedule
• May work at a second Emergency Department location within the same city or nearby Beloit
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state practice act
• Document according to standards of care
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute patient plans of care according to individualized patient needs as prescribed by physician and/or clinic policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
• Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating appropriately through the chain of command
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, decisions, and peer review process
• Active Wisconsin RN licensure required
• Education verification required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
