ED Registered Nurse Job in Oconto, WI

Bellin Health Oconto is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This is a 13-week travel contract beginning October 26, 2026, offering stable night shift work in a critical access setting.

Role Overview

You will work 12-hour night shifts, three days per week, providing direct patient care in a 7-bed emergency department and urgent care facility. Your team will include two nurses and one physician on duty at all times. You will handle mostly urgent care cases with occasional trauma, maintaining quality professional nursing care in accordance with the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 night shifts per week
• Guaranteed 36 hours weekly (except during unit closures for holidays)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call or callback obligations
• No float requirements; optional cross-training to medical unit available
• $2,532 weekly pay

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year nursing experience (critical access facility or Level III/IV facility experience preferred)
• Active RN or Compact license
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Epic charting experience within the past 2 years
• NIHSS certification preferred at submission; required before end of orientation

Work Environment

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide optimal patient outcomes while maintaining a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors. Dress code requires scrub colors without bright hues or character prints.
