ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required; 5-8 years preferred
• Experience in a Level II or III trauma center required
• Recent ER travel experience in the past 6-8 months preferred
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in a 42-bed emergency department with a daily census of 200 patients
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, NRP (must be willing to obtain if not already held)
• Perform triage and manage a wide range of emergency presentations including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory conditions, neurological emergencies, psychiatric holds, and pediatric cases
• Proficiency expected in skills including IV insertion and maintenance, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, procedural sedation monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Expect to work some holidays
