Med Surg RN Job in Morgantown, WV

You will work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical unit at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. This is a 13-week travel contract with the possibility of extension.

Schedule and Pay

• 4x12 night shifts on weekdays and weekends
• Weekly pay: $2,431
• Contract duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 10, 2026

Unit Details

• 34-bed unit with a daily census of 25–30 patients
• Adult patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:5–7
• Charting system: Cerner

Requirements

• Current RN license (WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (through American Heart Association where applicable)
• Cerner experience required

Clinical Skills

You will manage a range of patient care activities including blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, peripheral line care, wound care and wound vac, tracheostomy care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial blood gas interpretation, heparin and insulin administration, isolation precautions and PPE, phlebotomy, PCA management, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, oral suctioning, and rapid response and code team participation.

Support and Policies

• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Unit schedule requests cannot be guaranteed but the facility will make best efforts to accommodate travelers
• Attendance policy allows 2–3 call-offs per contract
• No scrubs provided
