PCU RN Job in San Marcos, TX

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital San Marcos is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM in a full-time position, providing intermediate-level care to assigned patients.

Your Responsibilities

• Practice independently in an intermediate care clinical setting, delivering routine and complex nursing care
• Apply the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to guide patient care
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols while monitoring for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness
• Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient history, presenting symptoms, medications, and care delivered
• Make appropriate care assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers as needed
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education accordingly

Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or compact license
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel contract beginning November 1, 2026. You will earn $1,937 per week.
