ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in the Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Care for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two
• 12 orientation hours required
• Travel pairs not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC, ENCP, FHM, NIHSS
• Key skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, drug overdose management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, isolation precautions and PPE, starting and maintaining IVs, triage, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• GA or Compact nursing license required
