Job Details:

• Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM EST with on-call/callback, holidays, and occasional weekends required
• Local candidates only
• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans while strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, identifying images, and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• 2 years of CT experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• ARRT certification required
• NYS Radiologic Technologist license required prior to start
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• Telemetry required
• Injection therapy certification must be stated on NYS license at time of submission
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
• Injection certification preferred - must be willing to complete during orientation process
• Effective written and verbal communication skills required
• Patient and compassionate disposition required
• Must be a team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment
