CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

You will work as a CT Technologist at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Rochester, NY. This is a travel position lasting 89 days, starting November 16, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

You will work Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM EST on a 5x8 basis. Weekly pay is $3,627. On-call, callback, holiday, and occasional weekend shifts are required.

Your Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans in strict adherence to department policy and procedures
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients appropriately, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting all necessary components within EPIC
• Ensure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility

Required Qualifications

• NYS Radiologic Technologist license (required prior to start)
• ARRT certification
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Telemetry certification
• Injection therapy certification or willingness to complete during orientation

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred. You will need effective written and verbal communication skills, a patient and compassionate disposition, and the ability to work as a team player in a cohesive working environment.
