ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed emergency department with patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet department needs - block scheduling not available
• Float within all sections of the ED as needed - no floating outside of the ED
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high volume ED with over 100,000 visits preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality with ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Must have flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
• Work with Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Document using Cerner electronic health records system
• Techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, triage, and unit clerks on days and nights
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards and maintain updated patient boards throughout each visit
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all required before start date), ENPC (required within 90 days of hire)
