PACU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Swedish is seeking a travel RN for a seasonal position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a day shift role running 3 x 12-hour shifts, working 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM. The assignment runs 91 days, beginning September 28, 2026, with weekly pay at $1,971.

Unit Overview

The 27-bed PACU operates with a staff of 12. Day shift includes 10 RNs and 2 Charge RNs; night shift has 2 RNs. You will care for patients in both pre-operative and post-operative phases, with estimated patient ratios of 4 patients in pre-op and 1–2 patients in PACU. The unit handles a diverse surgical scope including orthopedic, spine, neurology, interventional radiology, ENT, general surgery, GI, vascular, colorectal procedures, and blocks.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of current PACU experience
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• CPAN and CAPA certifications (preferred)
• Critical care experience (preferred)

Expectations

This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong collaboration with multiple departments and providers. You will work with the Meditech EMR system. An on-call requirement of 1 weekend call shift per month applies. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient care and satisfaction are essential to succeed in this role.
