RN - MICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 in a 26-bed Medical ICU
• Float to other Medical-Surgical Units as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units
• Perform hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, and completion of My Care Board during hand-off report
• Utilize AIDET framework with focus on compassionate connected care
• Operate equipment including ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, and glucometers
• Use iMobile phones and technology as part of daily workflow
• Document using Meditech with EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation)
• Perform and assist with procedures including intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain placement and management, IABP management, CRRT, and proning of patients
• Demonstrate advanced skills in ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, and thorough cardiac, neuro, and respiratory system assessment
• Maintain proficiency in Don and Doff of PPE
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; TNCC a plus
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs required; white or ceil blue scrub jacket optional
• Positive attitude, flexibility, teamwork, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a diverse environment required
• Minimum ICU experience required
