Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 in a 26-bed Medical ICU unit
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed, with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units
• Provide total care for patients including those requiring ventilator management and critical care drips
• Perform and assist with procedures including intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain placement and management, IABP management, CRRT, and proning of patients
• Utilize equipment including ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers, and iMobile phones and technology
• Document using Meditech with EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation)
• Conduct hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, and completion of My Care Board during hand-off report using AIDET framework
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; TNCC a plus
• Required dress code: Ceil blue scrubs; white or ceil blue scrub jacket optional
• Advanced skills required: Ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough cardiac, neuro, and respiratory system assessment skills, and Don and Doff of PPE
• Must have ICU experience with strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work in a diverse environment
