ED RN Job in Glendale, AZ

You will work as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, located at 5555 W Thunderbird Rd, Glendale, AZ. This is a 12-week assignment running from November 2, 2026, on a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, with weekly compensation of $2,446.20.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients according to organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural factors, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical directives
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise healthcare team activities to execute patient care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise care plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership initiatives and contribute to improvement of national nursing quality indicators
• Precept and mentor staff as appropriate

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience, with ED experience within the past 12 months
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC, TNCC, and/or ATCN certifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification
