Med Surg RN Job in Elizabethtown, KY

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Weekly pay: $2,427.20

Your Responsibilities

You will deliver patient-centered care grounded in nursing practice principles. Your day-to-day work includes:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments using the nursing process, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Identify patient risk factors and develop prioritized problem lists in collaboration with the inter-professional team
• Design and implement individualized care interventions tailored to patient culture and age
• Conduct ongoing assessments, document patient responses to procedures and therapies, and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Manage admission, transfer, and discharge activities, coordinate with Case Management, and execute discharge orders
• Provide patient and family education that addresses identified learning needs at an appropriate comprehension level
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor the accuracy and completeness of care provided by team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing
