ICU RN Job in Sun City West, AZ

You will work as a registered nurse in the ICU setting at Banner Del Webb Medical Center, providing direct patient care across a varied patient population. This position requires you to float between Banner Del Webb Medical Center and Banner Baywood Medical Center campuses as staffing needs dictate.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive nursing care for ICU patients
• Conduct thorough patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and revise comprehensive care plans using assessment data and patient and family input
• Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting plans as needed
• Document all aspects of patient care in accordance with facility policy requirements
• Provide nursing care based on physician orders and established nursing plans in compliance with professional standards
• Delegate appropriately to licensed nurses and other personnel, providing necessary supervision
• Participate in education, orientation, and mentoring of facility personnel and students
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, physicians, patients, and families

Requirements

• Current valid RN license in Arizona or compact state licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required
• Acute care experience within the past 12 months in this specialty area
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the ICU work area
