ICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. This is a 12-week travel assignment beginning February 1, 2027, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week, paying $2,434 weekly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of ICU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, including discharge planning
• Review patient history, diagnostic results, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal findings promptly to physicians and care team members
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care tailored to each patient's specific needs and medical requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop realistic, measurable patient goals
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Maintain timely, accurate, and legible documentation of all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives

Required qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license in the state of Arizona
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience in the ICU specialty within the past 12 months
• Stroke care experience required
• NIHSS certification required
• BLS certification required

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Professional certification in critical care nursing
