Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required with 13 weekend shifts per contract
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6 depending on census, typically 1:4
• Float required between Progress West and St. Peters as needed, as well as within service line to MS and ICU (non-ICU level/lower acuity patients aligned with skill level)
• Average daily census of 29 with 31 beds and 31 rooms
• Self-scheduling
• 24 orientation hours required; orientation shift times/schedule may vary from normal contract hours
• Scrub color: Navy
• Free parking available in parking lot
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Step down, PCU, or stroke care experience required
• Post cardiac cath and post thrombectomy (after 24 hours) experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include CHF, CVA, and COPD
• Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, central line care/management, PICC line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, blood product administration, pre/post cardiac cath, post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac surgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, pre/post neurosurgery, CVA management, chest tube management, titration of cardiac drips, tracheostomy care/management, wound care/wound vac, PCA, feeding tube care, renal failure management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
