Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. This is a 119-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3x12 hour day shifts (6:45 AM to 7:15 PM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holidays as needed
• Weekly pay: $2,073.60

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights
• Floating required to all acute care and cardio units for medical patients, or emergency care for acute care patient holds
• Telemetry is monitored on a different unit
• Nurse aides and CNAs available at a ratio of 1:8 to 1:10; may serve as sitters
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience with at least 1 travel assignment
• BLS (AHA) certification
• NIHSS (AHA) certification
• EMR experience with Meditech preferred but not required
• BSN not required
• Must reside within a strict 75-mile radius from the hospital as verified by driver's license address

You will join a team with support from nurse aides and CNAs. This assignment offers the opportunity to work in acute care across multiple units while maintaining a manageable patient load and structured schedule.
