ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Day shift position in the ICU
• 48 hours per week preferred; 36 hours per week may be considered
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• May be required to float outside of the ICU
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Charting system experience required; Epic system used
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; PALS or ENPC within 1 year of start date; TNCC preferred
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/acute stroke management, emergency medications, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, traumatic brain injury management, and ventilator management
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
