ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hours per week considered
• Weekend coverage required
• Must be willing to float to MS/Tele and ER for critical care holds
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 2-3 patients required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC or TCAR, and EKG course completion
• 6 hours total of Stroke education required
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/acute stroke management, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, traumatic brain injury care, ventilator management, and additional critical care competencies
• Treats patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Unit consists of 20 beds with a daily census of 15
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
