Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed, typically in 4-hour increments
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Work on Medical and Pediatrics unit; travelers do not take pediatric patients
• Treat adult patients with conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Typical patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must be able to work independently, manage tasks timely, collaborate with team and ancillary staff, and maintain a positive attitude with flexibility during shift changes
