ICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Desert Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit in Mesa, Arizona. This is a direct-hire travel position offering a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to provide critical care to a diverse patient population.

Position Overview

You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours on a day schedule, delivering comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients. This 89-week assignment begins November 16, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,416.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results promptly to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to establish realistic and measurable patient goals
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Maintain timely, accurate, and legible documentation of all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Stroke experience required
• NIHSS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
