ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 3x12 shift schedule only - block scheduling is not available
• Work in a 15-bed emergency unit within a critical access hospital
• Combined adult and pediatric general emergency department setting
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• Floating is required - candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience required
• Local candidates (Indiana residents) are not accepted for this position
• Travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• TNCC preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, CVA management, isolation precautions and PPE, triage, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
