Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Weekend rotation required: up to every other weekend, as few as every 4th weekend based on need
• Holiday rotation required
• Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence
• Float to ED for helping hands as needed and float to TC Oshkosh; must be open to floating to all ThedaCare facilities within a 60-mile radius as needed
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Unit operates an integrated care model with a point of care approach; all team members work together to provide cohesive patient care
• Unit details: 10 inpatient beds, 8 ED bays, 1 consult room, 3 hallway patients, and patient ratio of 1:3-5
• All Med/Surg RNs will be trained on Warming Kitchen protocols to promote a strong patient experience
• Point of care testing required on unit including spin down blood samples, point of care lab testing, and ISTAT samples to report outpatient results (lab training will be provided)
• Charting: Epic experience required within the last year
• Required certifications: WI RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and AHA PALS
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• At least one previously completed travel contract required
• BSN not required but strongly preferred
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player required
• Zoom interview with manager required
