Med Surg RN Job in Cape Girardeau, MO

Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking an RN for a Med Surg position on the night shift. This is a travel nursing role offering 36 guaranteed weekly hours over three 12-hour shifts, working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Position Details:

• 23-bed surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday); block scheduling accommodated where possible but never guaranteed
• No on-call requirements
• Float responsibilities include Med Surg and Progressive units
• Black scrubs required
• EMR system: EPIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Post-surgical experience required (not OR/post recovery), including urology, ortho, general, and medical overflow
• Current BLS certification required
• Peri dialysis experience preferred
• Willingness to learn and take on charge responsibilities
• Strong communication skills and team player mentality

Contract Terms:

• Assignment duration: 140 days
• Start date: September 21, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,933
• Must be willing to work at least one major summer or winter holiday per contract period
