PCU RN Job in Arlington, TX

Join Medical City Arlington as a Registered Nurse on our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) dedicated to heart and vascular patients. This 91-day travel assignment runs from September 22, 2026, with a night shift schedule of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three days per week. You will earn $1,708.20 weekly with 48 guaranteed hours available.

About the Unit

The Heart & Vascular Center is located on the first floor of the main building and operates 31 beds with a 1:4 patient ratio. Night shift staffing includes one charge nurse, eight staff nurses, and two patient care technicians, creating a structured team environment for patient care delivery.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for individuals with cardiac and vascular diseases
• Perform nursing assessments every twelve hours unless otherwise ordered
• Monitor vital signs every four hours unless otherwise ordered
• Perform and interpret EKGs with EKG rhythm recognition
• Manage pacemaker interrogations and documentation
• Remove and monitor arterial sheaths following cardiac catheterization
• Maintain and monitor cardiac drips
• Deliver post-catheterization management using critical care nursing skills

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• ACLS certification
• Critical care skill set for post-cath patient management preferred

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs are required. You may wear long-sleeve undershirts in white, blue, or red (no prints). Only uniform-approved jackets are permitted.
