PT - Physical Therapist Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (start time flexible up to 8:00 AM)
• Required to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during a 4-week period, resulting in a day off during the applicable week
• 1 year of Level 1 trauma acute care experience required
• Provide therapy services across a wide range of patient care areas including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology
• Primary inpatient acute care role
• May float within any therapy service line to meet facility needs
• Establish treatment plans and provide treatment considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status, and appropriate equipment and supplies
• Educate, collaborate, and conference with patients, families, and other healthcare providers, making referral recommendations as needed
• Delegate to assistants and technicians through written and verbal communication
• Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies
• Perform assessments, documentation, patient and family education, and safety and injury prevention
• Strong communication skills and desire to work with a variety of patient populations required
• Patient age groups served: Adults and Geriatrics
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Required certifications: BLS, State License
• Scrub color: Black or Grey
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off within a 13-week contract
• Safe patient handling equipment, vitals carts, and iPad interpretation tools used on the unit
