ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in the Emergency Room department
• Every other weekend shift required
• Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Department sees approximately 120 visits per day across 32 rooms and 33 beds
• 2 years of Emergency Room experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Scrub color: Royal blue
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Must be comfortable performing and managing a wide range of clinical skills including triage, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, procedural sedation, IV vasopressors, blood product administration, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and care of ventilated patients
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital and trauma level experience preferred
