Emergency Room RN Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in the Emergency Department at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. You will work the night shift and provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency setting.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4:1
• Start date: November 8, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,523

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care in a high-acuity unit
• Treat patients with strokes, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, sepsis, and some trauma cases
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided in the Epic EMR system
• Assess and address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify resources and issues
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed

Facility Environment

• 24/7 onsite security
• Unit is not trauma-designated but treats some trauma cases
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs

Requirements

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact license
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications required
• De-Escalation certification required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
