Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an RN for a Med Surg night shift position. This is a 13-week travel assignment starting August 24, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (to be confirmed on submission)
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Night shift orients on day shift; must be available the entire week for orientation

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Utilize nursing process to provide patient care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information

Requirements

• Current RN license; must meet criteria for Missouri licensure or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med Surg experience
• BLS from AHA (required)
• ACLS from AHA (preferred)

Physical Demands

Standing and walking most of the time; significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs.
