CVICU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You are an RN with ICU experience, ready to join Mission Hospital's CVICU Float Pool in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 17, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Alternating weekend schedule

The Role

You will float across all areas of the facility as assigned. The 16-bed CVICU is staffed by RNs only, with no HUC or PCT support. Patient ratios are typically 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Titration of vesicant medications
• Familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Mechanical ventilation, trachs, and telemetry interpretation
• Hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• ICU experience required

Advanced Skills Preferred

• IABP
• Impella
• CRRT

Equipment & Procedures

You will work with ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment. Unit procedures include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis.

Documentation & Requirements

• Electronic health record: Cerner
• Scrub colors: All Navy or Navy and White (no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs)
• No certifications required; CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications are appreciated

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,102.40.
