Opportunity:

RN - CVICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with a requirement of 36 hours per week
• Alternating weekend schedule required
• Float to all areas of the facility as part of the float pool assignment
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity
• Work in a 16-bed cardiovascular ICU unit
• Wear all navy or navy and white scrubs; no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work
• Utilize equipment including ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
• Document using Cerner electronic health record system
• RN-only unit with no HUC or PCT support
• Required skills include titration of vesicant medications, familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Must have experience with vents, trachs, and telemetry interpretation
• Must have understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Perform or assist with procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Desirable advanced skills include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• ICU experience required
• No certifications required; CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated
