SLP Job in Buffalo, MO

Tide Health Group - Buffalo Prairie in Buffalo, MO is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a long-term care setting. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 5 days per week on days shift, with no weekend requirements unless a holiday falls within the weekdays.

About the Role

You will screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Your responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting in clinical records
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services based on patient evaluation
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and service providers
• Communicate effectively with your supervisor and health team members regarding patient progress
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory requirements
• Document all required information accurately in the electronic documentation system
• Record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences and utilization review meetings
• Attend facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory requirements
• Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists

Requirements

• Missouri State License
• CCC certification required
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience (new graduates with Level II experience accepted)
• Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience required
• 3 years experience holding active CCS preferred
• Adherence to ASHA and State required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards

Compensation and Duration

You will earn $2,448 per week. This assignment is 91 days long with a start date of October 5, 2026.
