ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend commitment required
• No call requirements
• Float to other inpatient areas required when home unit is at low census
• Specialty focus on Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 in a 30-bed unit
• Care for patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors
• Must have Neuro ICU experience, comprehensive assessment skills, and thorough neurological assessment skills
• Must be proficient in care of hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients
• Preferred experience with Pupillometer, EVD, ICP waveform management, CRRT, and Epic
• Equipment used includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer
• EMR system: Epic
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EKG test is required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Scrub color: Navy; hoodies are not acceptable attire
