Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 3x12 shift schedule working with a patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Will float within service line to meet facility needs
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred (Level I/Teaching Facility experience accepted at 1 year)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract; cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• Required skills: Phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Provide acute care for adult patients managing a full range of clinical issues including blood dyscrasias, advanced endocrine pathology, heart and renal failure, GI conditions, infectious diseases, asthma, and other conditions
• Unit operates with 51 beds and a daily census of 20 patients per side
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
