CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for weekday overnight shifts. You'll work Monday through Thursday, 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST, with on-call and callback coverage as needed.

Your Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans in strict adherence to department policy and procedure
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients accordingly, including lifting and moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting all necessary components within EPIC, identifying images, and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• Siemens scanner experience (minimum 6 months)
• ARRT certification
• NYS licensure prior to starting position
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Patient and compassionate disposition
• Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC experience (minimum 1 year)
• Injection certification, or willingness to complete during orientation
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment

Compensation

This 89-day travel assignment begins November 16, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,710 for 10-hour shifts.
