PCU RN Job in Apache Junction, AZ

Banner Goldfield Medical Center in Apache Junction is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, offering three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,514 weekly.

As an RN on the PCU, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and support. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing thorough patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Reviewing patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory results, reporting abnormal findings to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, including discharge planning
• Providing direct patient care according to physician orders and nursing standards
• Delegating tasks appropriately and supervising licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting the plan of care as needed
• Documenting assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and promptly in patient records
• Participating in shared leadership, staff education, and orientation activities
• Precepting and mentoring staff when appropriate

You may be required to float to a sister facility depending on census and staffing needs. The position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching. Lifting up to 75 pounds may be required. Standard precautions apply due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Requirements: Current, valid RN license in Arizona; minimum one year of acute care hospital experience with experience within the past 12 months; BLS certification; Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification preferred.
