PCU RN Job in Wichita, KS

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS is seeking an RN for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a travel nursing position running 91 days, starting September 22, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Unit size: 14-bed PCU with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Weekly pay: $2,062

Clinical Responsibilities

You will care for progressive care patients using equipment including chest tubes, IV pumps, and various drains. The facility uses Meditech as its electronic medical record system. You will manage medication drips, central lines, and post-operative recovery care. Float assignments to other units may occur.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of hospital PCU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Strong critical thinking skills and patient-centered approach
• Team-player mentality with engaged work style

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of medication drips and central line management
• Post-operative recovery experience
