OR Registered Nurse Job in Olney, MD

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting December 7, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,612.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Work a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour day shifts
• Two 8-hour shifts per week: flex options at 6:45 AM–3:15 PM or 10:45 AM–7:15 PM
• Two 12-hour shifts per week: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
• Up to five 12-hour on-call shifts per six-week scheduling period
• Call coverage is primarily on weekends, running Saturday 7:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
• One weekday call shift per six-week period may be required on Tuesday nights

Role Requirements

• 2 years of General Surgery experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Maryland compact or RN license required
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• Community hospital experience required
• Ability to care for patients of all ages: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Facility Information

• OR unit consists of 7 rooms with an average daily census of 25 cases
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Interdisciplinary support available including interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary

Assignment Conditions

• Two supervisory references required, including one from your most recent assignment
• No requested time off permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
• No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract
