Operating Room RN Job in Baltimore, MD

LBH - Sinai Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Baltimore, MD. This is a 98-week travel assignment starting November 23, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,364.

Schedule and Expectations

• Work three 12-hour day shifts per week, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required
• One on-call shift per week plus two 8-hour weekend shifts within each 6-week period
• No block scheduling available
• Float within scope as needed to support facility operations

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 1:1 ratio within the Operating Room
• Support a general OR averaging approximately 40 cases per day
• Care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Function as a member of the patient care team, ensuring safe, age-appropriate care
• Serve as a resource for patients and families

Required Surgical Competencies

• Proficiency in Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Oral/Dental, Laparoscopic, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures
• Documented case experience in thoracic, ENT, endoscopic, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and trauma
• Experience with emergency OR response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia protocols, and latex allergy precautions
• Proficiency with electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment, and Steris equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Maryland or compact state RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course
• 8 hours of annual trauma CEUs
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• NIH certification preferred
