ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 3 years of experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend and every other holiday requirement
• Approximately 12 weekend shifts per contract
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• No blocked scheduling; no call required
• Charting system: EPIC (required)
• Scrub color: Navy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Pennsylvania or Compact license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Community hospital experience preferred; Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• 34 rooms and 35 beds with a daily census of 100
• Patient diagnoses include stroke, STEMI/MI, psychiatric issues, sepsis, and trauma
• Special procedures include PES (Psych Evaluation Services) via telehealth psychiatric visits
• Special equipment includes Belmont and Bair Hugger
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and more
• Key clinical skills required include triage, IV vasopressors, arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of multisystem organ dysfunction, procedural sedation, and management of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
