OR Registered Nurse Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health - Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 17, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend shifts required; Friday nights are typical
• No on-call responsibility
• Weekly pay: $2,261
• You may be called off up to 10 hours per 2-week period

About the Role

You will work in a pediatric operating room with 8 total ORs; 2 remain operational during overnight hours. The facility serves pediatric and women's surgery patient populations. You may float within scope to meet staffing needs, and block schedules can be considered at manager discretion.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pediatric setting
• Minimum 2 completed travel contract assignments (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• South Carolina or Compact RN Licensure

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Code response procedures
• Fire safety protocols
• Latex allergy awareness
• Malignant hyperthermia recognition and response
• Pediatric general OR operations

Additional Information

• Experience in pediatrics and women's surgery is preferred
• A radiation badge will be provided by your parent company
