Cath Lab Technologist Job in Columbia, SC

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026. You will work 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with hours extending as procedures require completion.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support 4–5 cath labs daily with 2–3 CVTs per lab, handling approximately 20–25 cases per day
• Assist with coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angioplasty, temporary pacing, IABP, Impella, and carotid angiograms
• Monitor vital signs and assist with left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
• Operate specialized equipment: Impella, balloon pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, and MAC Lab documentation systems
• Manage charting in EPIC and image storage via Vidistar and PACS
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with coronary and vascular diagnoses

Staffing Requirements:

• On-call one weekend (Friday–Sunday) per 7 weeks, plus one call shift and one evening shift per week
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and community hospital experience required
• Proficiency in coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor
• Current BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and SC license (SCRQSA)
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)

Compensation & Support:

• Weekly pay: $2,568
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided
