Cath Lab Technologist Job in Columbia, SC

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10-hour day shifts (0700–1730), with hours extending as procedures conclude each day.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Support 4 to 5 laboratory cases per day with two CVTs per lab, managing approximately 20 cases daily
• Perform coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor roles
• Assist with skilled procedures: diagnostic and interventional coronary catheterization, angioplasty, Shockwave, temporary pacer, IABP, Impella, carotid angiogram, atherectomy, IVUS, FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies
• Operate specialized equipment including Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab, and Vidistar image storage
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

On-Call and Scheduling:

• One weekend call per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• One call shift and one evening shift per week; call requirements may adjust based on staffing needs
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities
• Facility may call off one shift per two weeks; called-off hours equal one full shift

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of Cath Lab experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ARRT or RCIS certification (registered or in process)
• South Carolina license (SCRQSA)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Radiation badge required; provided by agency
