Operating Room RN Job in Paducah, KY

Join Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Paducah, KY as a Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This 13-week travel assignment offers an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities including 1–2 nights per week and every third weekend.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings in accordance with RN scope of practice
• Collect objective and subjective patient data and verify initial admission assessments
• Develop and prioritize patient problem lists in coordination with the inter-professional team
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy
• Communicate procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families, tailored to their age, culture, and developmental level
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies
• Delegate tasks and oversee team members in patient care activities
• Identify and address educational needs based on patient comprehension level
• Facilitate the patient discharge process, including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
