OR RN Job in Lexington, KY

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking an RN for the Operating Room in Lexington, KY. This is a 124-day travel assignment starting October 5, 2026.

Position Details

• 10-hour shifts, four days per week
• First shift: 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• No call required
• Weekly pay: $2,782.40

Your Role

You will deliver evidence-based nursing care centered on the patient as a complete person, using the nursing process and critical thinking to guide clinical decisions. You will perform and document comprehensive assessments, identify patient risk factors, and develop prioritized problem lists in collaboration with the interprofessional team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and provide direct patient care, including nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families in clear, understandable terms
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in patient care activities
• Monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated care provided by team members
• Incorporate patient culture, age, and developmental level into care planning
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction monitoring, falls prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through words and actions

You will base your nursing practice on current evidence, research, hospital and department policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning are core to this role.
