ICU RN Job in Queen Creek, AZ

Banner Ironwood Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit in Queen Creek, Arizona. This is an 88-week travel assignment with a start date of September 8, 2026.

Position Details

• Location: 37000 N Gantzel Rd, Queen Creek, AZ

Your Responsibilities

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for ICU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. Your work includes conducting thorough patient assessments that address physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs. You will review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers.

You will formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, delegate appropriately to licensed and non-licensed personnel, and provide nursing supervision. Evaluating patient and family response to care and teaching, then revising the plan as needed, is essential to this role. You will maintain accurate, legible, and timely documentation in patient records and participate in unit or facility shared leadership to improve national nursing quality indicators.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience, with experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the ICU specialty area
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to ICU practice
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Exposure to blood and bodily fluids; standard precautions required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification in ICU nursing
